Great creativity at St. Joseph’s P.S. Drumquin!

What a blast of creativity we had with Years 4 and 5 at St. Joseph’s P.S. Their aim was to create a sculpture for the Front Hall to mark the occasion of 50 years – celebrating educating the young children of Drumquin.

How did it happen then?    So first we laid out large drawing sheets and let  the children  draw their images of  ‘Life in their school’ and  ‘Their Drumquin’! They came up with so many ideas…friendships, music, school-work, sport, gardening club, Millenium Clock Tower, bridge, waterfall, picnic benches, playground apparatus, ….to mention just a FEW!

With great energy and enthusiasm they soon transformed these images into a 3D composition. The final result was outstanding!

So proud of you all!

This was a true ‘Urney Creations Experience’ for such young children!

Many thanks to Theresa for contacting us and sowing the seed of creativity. Thanks also to Mrs. Alison Mullin, Yr4 &  5 Class Teacher, Mr John Murray, Principal and indeed all the staff who made myself and Anna feel so welcome over these past few days. It was a pleasure to work with you all!
