It’s with great sadness that Altishane Primary School will close its doors for the last time at the end of June this year. This wee school has been the heart and soul of Altishane for many families over many decades! Living and Learning here has evolved from the wealth of knowledge and traditions passed on from one generation to another. So it was with great pride and honourĀ that I was invited to the school by the Principal Geraldine Conwell to mark this event with a Creative experience!
Every child and a family member would create a sculpture as a keepsake of their time spent in Altishane P.S. As the technique of using paverpol was new to all…..it was with great gusto that all participants set to task at hand, and their creations were amazing! Have a look and see for yourself. The youngest children created ‘Wacky Birds’ whilst the older produced figurines. So proud of you all!
I would like to thank Geraldine and Carol for all your assistance at the workshops and wish you both health and happiness in your well deserved retirement!
